Dec/12 - Carina down with the most awful bout of yeast infection which is on top of her hedranitis. She has been on Clendamyacin and Rimfampin and supposebly that is what has caused carina her yeast infection because her system has too much antibiotics in them. Doc gave her Flucanozole and topical Clotrimazole. The weekend of Dec 8-11 she was in excruciating pain, hardly no relief. Finally doc prescribed Hyrdroco/APAP tab 7.5-500 (1 tablet every 4 hrs), flucanozole 100 mg (1 tab daily).
Prior to meds Carina had white raised skin all over her hedranitis, it looked like a brain. When given flucanzole-weekly dose, white stuff started togo away and turn a brown hard color. She still itched and had pain. The white stuff along side of thigh area was red, with slight oozing but very tender red and painful. After pain mediciation she was able to finaly handle pain and itching, the flucanozole daily seems to be helping the white stuff. Today dec 12 a.m. top cover is hard and dried, she still has some itching. Pain is less, pain pills can be probably taken 6-8 hrs where as before she needed it every 4 hrs. She had some red boil like little pimples come up out of top layer and one of those she pulled out and it was a ball the size of a very tiny pebble, its white.
Carina has been using a topical from health food store Gelmicin - contains betametsone, clortimazol and gentamicina(spanish), she has also been taking by Quatum, headache/pain formula drops and inflammatory formula drops
She has missed almost 2 weeks of school.
We are going to try acutane or humera.
